OlÁ!
(Apparently I've been spelling that wrong this whole time, it just took me until Portugal to figure that out Haha-theres an accent over the a)

Welp! I finally made it to Portugal, 14 hours of flight time and 7 hours of layover later:)
In the airport, I ran into two super bom friends from BYU James Mendenhal and Fielding Demars which was the craziest but coolest coincidence!
Now, I'm serving in Viseu which is north of Coimbra. This place no joke looks like it came straight outta Harry Potter. It's like old Europe streets and buildings and parks and churches. Even the street lamps look super cool. I never thought I'd get to legit serve in Diagon Alley.
The day after I arrived in portugal, we got to meet lots of other missionaries and President and Sister Fillmore. They're all muito bom!
Not gonna lie, my Portuguese is pretty bad because of the Visa wait. Well even if I didn't Visa wait, I still wouldn't understand anything anyone is saying because everyone here talks really fast. I can speak mas ou menos but I'm definitely a greenie.
Portugal is seriously a dream. They have adorable little padarias and gelato stores everywhere that are muito adorable and taste so good. America needs more of those Haha!
We had to take a 3 hour bus ride to Viseu on Thursday only to take it back to Lisboa Friday night because Elder Neil A. Anderson of the 12 apostles came to dedicate Portugal's first temple. I got to meet so many missionaries that now my brother when he served here and we got to listen to an apostle speak! Also, I got to see almost all my MTC friends again. We hope everyone will make it to Portugal soon!
I got to meet my dad's college roommate's son who's serving in my mission and also got to see Sister Hogge who I grew up with! Seriously, the past couple days have been so fun!
Getting down to the more serious stuff though, I have never felt more strongly in my life that God puts us where we're supposed to be when we're supposed to be there.
I was supposed to be in Spokane and I loved all the people I served with and got to meet and teach. And now, I know that Portugal (specifically Viseu) is where I'm supposed to be. I know that!
The Lord has a plan even though we may not always understand it in the moment.
If you haven't yet, look up the new Portugal Lisbon Temple that was just dedicated this past Sunday. We got to watch the dedication be broadcast and it was beautiful! Definitely a house of the Lord.
I love you all and I'm praying for you!
Don't take life for granted. When life gets hard, count your many blessings because God is so so so good!
Have a great week and go make someone's day today!
Eu te amo!
